ACCORDING TO THE GREATER Amman municipality, the city's first big parade included more than 1,600 participants, including marching bands, ethnic folklore troupes, performers and entertainers, students, and representatives of unions and professions. Romans from the period re-enectment in Jerash marched to represented Amman's history, while The 10 floats, built by city contractors, were symbolic of the 10 decades of Amman's development, including it's founding, the building of the Parliament, and the first provision of services.
