Phil Sands
English reporter Phil Sands first went to Iraq in the pre-invasion days of 2003 and has since returned on numerous occasions, both independently and embedded with the US military. His work has been published in GQ, Esquire, The Independent and The Washington Post, as well as other magazines and newspapers. He is a correspondent for The National and a co-founder of Makoto Photographic Agency. (And yes, he is Chris Sands' brother.)
